Just before you call! If you are asking about stock availability rest assured - it's not a daft question as we know that many of our competitors advertise stuff they haven't got, but if we show an item, we have it in stock.

The only exceptions to this are: Ansmann spare parts (ordered weekly), some Tamiya parts, which are ordered in 3 times a week - although we keep more Tamiya spares in stock than any other UK retailer none the less, and pre-orders - because pre-orders have yet to be released. Otherwise, if you see it, we had it in stock when we last updated stock (this is done at least 4 times every single day).

 Quick Queries

CAN I ORDER BY TELEPHONE? You can order by telephone, but of course we are open longer online!  If you are wary of Internet shopping, although there is no need to be, please try to order online but select "PHONE ME FOR MY PAYMENT DETAILS" instead of typing your card number in.  That way we'll give you a quick ring for your number which will be written on the printed order sheet (i.e. will never go near a computer!).

CAN I ORDER BY FAX? Yes, we welcome faxed orders.  In fact, they are often the quickest for us to process.  We have a special order form you can print and fill in for faxed orders - just click here to display it!

VISITING OUR SHOP: Our shop is located in Fenton Barns Retail Village in North Berwick, approx 15 miles east of Edinburgh. We are located at the TOP SITE, which is away from most of the antique stores and cafe. From the Edinburgh / A1 / Drem direction, drive past the main entrance and take the next turn on your right. Then take the next right past Fenton Barns Foods, we are then on your left. Please note that some of the ranges we list online are ordered in on demand or dispatched direct from our suppliers, so may not be in stock if you visit. Our shop is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, excluding Scottish and English Public Holidays. Many days we are open to 6pm but please ring first if planning to make a late visit.

 Contacting Us

Email: We far prefer emailed enquiries!  Once you have looked through our site and are sure you can't find the answer to your question online, send your message to office@goldstarstockists.net - please use a subject and sign your name at the end of your message as otherwise your email may not be received.  
We reply to all emails promptly but sometimes there might be a delay if we have to check something out, so please be patient as even at the busiest times you'll usually have a reply within one day at most.

By Fax: Our number is FAX: 01620 850950 (Intl: +44 1620 850950). We welcome faxed orders & enquiries - please as much information as you can with regard to the query. 
This is often the quickest way to enquire about something as we can very quickly write the reply and fax it back to you!

Telephone: Our phone number is 01620 850728.   The phone is answered 10:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. Please note that our FREE delivery offer is for ONLINE ORDERS ONLY - Telephone orders are subject to our standard P and P rates. If you hear a recorded message during hours when we would usually be open, please allow a few minutes before calling back. Emailed queries will usually be answered outside of these hours.

Please note: ONLINE orders are quicker for us to process and dispatch, so if you are in a hurry, please order online to get the best chance of your item being sent out ASAP.

VERY IMPORTANT: Product and technical enquiries?  Please EMAIL, since telephone is not always manned by technical staff and you will likely be asked to put your question in an email so that a concise and correct answer can be given.

QUERYING YOUR ORDER: In the first instance, and whereever possible, please simply reply to any email order confirmation you have received with any query.

PLACING AN ORDER: Orders can be placed by telephone during the hours of 10:30 until 4:00, Monday to Friday.

Our shop is open during the following hours.  Outside of these hours, telephones will not be answered but we may be able to answer emails.

MONDAY TO FRIDAY: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
We are closed over the weekend.

Collection of orders can sometimes be arranged outside of these hours by prior appointment. 

 

 Tracking Your Order
If you wish to query the status of your order, please note:  
  • Allow time for the great British Post Office: If you have been charged and it's more than a few days previously, allowing for weekends when no deliveries occur, PLEASE check your post box thoroughly for Post Office, Parcelforce or Courier "We tried to deliver but you were out" cards.  They often get caught up in junk mail and free local newspapers. Also, please ask your immediate neighbours if they have taken a parcel in for you before contacting us.   We are finding that 95% of "missing" packages are actually waiting either next door or at the sorting office / courier depot.
     
  • Give us the details we need to look into it: We can track most larger items (heavier items and majority of packages over £50) quite quickly and advise where they are.  Please reply to your order confirmation email as it is quicker than phoning.  If you phone, we will take your details and have to phone you back.  This is because for security reasons, tracking information is not usually stored on our shop premises.
     
  • VERY Occasionally Things Get Lost: Where items are lost by the postal service, we must let the Post Office investigate the loss before any further action can be taken.

Complaints Procedure
In the event of a complaint, please contact Neil Gorin, Operations Manager via any of the methods outlined above.  He will endeavour to respond to all complaints within 3 working days, however usually response will be within 24 hours at any time.    You will be kept updated as to the progress and outcome of your complaint.
